Two B.C. men among Canada’s top 25 most wanted

Two British Columbians are among Canada’s 25 most wanted people.

Cody Casey, third on the list, is wanted by the Vancouver Police Department for 17 drug and firearm offences.

Until Dec. 3 of this year, up to $100,000 is being offered as a reward to anyone who aids in his arrest.

Police in Vancouver say an investigation into Casey began in 2020, and led to charges related to the production and trafficking of fentanyl, heroin, and cocaine, as well as firearms. In 2022, while out on bail, Casey cut off his ankle monitoring bracelet and has been evading capture ever since.

Casey is 38-years-old and was last described as being 200 pounds, 6 feet, with brown eyes, and dark brown hair. Police say he could also have a beard.

Fourth on the most-wanted list is Rabih Alkhalil, who is currently wanted by the Coquitlam RCMP.

Up to $100,000 is being offered as a reward until Dec. 3 for anyone who can provide information that aids in his arrest.

Alkhalil is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant after escaping from the North Fraser Pretrial Centre in Port Coquitlam in July 2022.

Prior to escaping, he was standing trial for murder and is known to have a lengthy criminal record with ties to organized crime.

In 2017, Alkhalil was sentenced to life in prison by an Ontario judge for first-degree murder. In 2020, he was sentenced to a further eight years in prison by a Quebec judge for drug trafficking. After his escape in 2022, a B.C. jury found him guilty of first-degree murder.

Alkhalil is 37-years-old and was last described as being 165 pounds, 5’10”, with dark brown eyes and black hair. He’s also reported to have two birthmarks on his left cheek.
