The Burnaby RCMP has arrested a suspect police believe was involved in a hit-and-run incident late last year.
Just before 7 a.m. on Dec. 11, officers responded to the collision at Canada Way and Burris Street.
According to police, the driver of the vehicle was turning left onto Canada Way and failed to yield to a pedestrian crossing the road. A 64-year-old woman was left with serious injuries.
Police say the driver fled the scene.
In a statement Thursday, Mounties say a 45-year old Burnaby man was arrested in connection with the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
