Surrey RCMP seeks public help finding missing 14-year-old girl

The Surrey RCMP says it is asking the public for help finding a teenage girl who was reported missing earlier this week.

14-year-old Gabriella Doherty was reported missing Friday from her home in the area of 158th Street and 84th Avenue in the Fleetwood area. She was last seen around 8:30 a.m. on Saturday — a day after being reported missing — around 104th Avenue and King George Boulevard in the Whalley neighbourhood.

Her family and police say they are concerned for her health and well-being.

Doherty is described as 5 feet tall and 100 pounds with short brown hair — which may be shorter than how it appears in a photo provided by police — and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing grey sweatpants.

The RCMP says she has scars on her left arm.

Anyone who sees Doherty is asked to call the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 and quote file 24-109475.
