Surrey RCMP seek help identifying assault suspect

Mounties in Surrey are asking for the public’s help to identify a man suspected of being involved in an assault.

The victim told police she was assaulted near the intersection of 128 Street and 84 Avenue on July 2, by a man she knew as “David.”

“The victim indicated she had met the suspect through a social media site,” police said in an update on Friday.

The Surrey RCMP says its investigators have so far not been able to identify the suspect “through conventional means.”

Police have released two images of the suspect who is described as a man in his mid-30s, with reddish-brown short hair. He also has a distinct full sleeve of tattoos of The Simpsons characters on his right arm.
