Surrey RCMP investigating armed robbery at a local business

The Surrey RCMP says it received a report of a business being robbed with what appeared to be firearms early Friday evening.

Police say that two men entered a business on 120th Street near 92nd Avenue around 5:30 p.m.

“The two men then spoke with one of the employees and stole a cell phone as they walked out,” the RCMP said in a news release.

“The two suspects were wearing masks and fled in a vehicle. CCTV canvassing is being conducted in the area.”

The incident appears to have been targeted, police say. No injuries have been reported.

Anyone who was in the area Friday between 5 and 5:30 p.m. and may dashcam footage is being asked to call Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 and quote file #2024-73968.
