A Surrey man has been arrested and charged after failing to comply with the conditions of his probation.
The Surrey RCMP announced Friday that Christopher Paterson has been arrested and charged with five counts of failing to comply with a probation order and two counts of failing to comply with a prohibition order.
Mounties say Paterson was originally released on probation in April of 2022. He was arrested in June of this year.
“By keeping a watchful eye and monitoring these offenders, we can help prevent potential re-offences as well as provide peace of mind to the residents of the city,” said Sgt. Erin Davis of the Special Victims Unit.
The RCMP says Paterson remains in custody until his next court appearance on July 19, 2024.
