Mounties in Surrey closed off an intersection after a pedestrian was hit Thursday evening.
Police say the crash happened just after 5 p.m. in the intersection of 150th Street and 102nd Avenue.
When crews arrived, they found one person had been seriously injured.
The intersection was closed and all traffic in the area was being detoured throughout the evening.
“Police are recommending avoiding the area as the closures will cause significant congestion on all surrounding routes,” the Surrey RCMP said.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dash cam footage is being asked to call the RCMP at 604-599-0502 and quote file 2024-61779.
As of 8 p.m. Thursday, the intersection was still closed.
