The RW Bruhn Bridge on Highway 1 running through Sicamous has been closed in both directions due to a vehicle incident Saturday morning, DriveBC says.
Posts on social media say this is due to a semi-truck crashing through the bridge railing and plunging into the lake below, but this has not been confirmed by officials.
Photos shared with CityNews show a section of the guard railing dangling over the edge and rescue boats below the bridge.
