Mounties are warning the public about an uptick in thefts of and from vehicles in the Sea to Sky region.
The Sea to Sky RCMP says, in the last two weeks, neighbourhoods including Rainbow, Whistler Village, Nordic, and Spruce Grove have been targeted with thefts.
Police are reminding people to never leave any spare keys or anything valuable inside vehicles, and to lock them at all times.
If you see anything suspicious or have any dashcam footage, the RCMP wants you to get in touch.
“Sometimes people think they’ve seen something unusual or out of the norm, but don’t want to contact police because they think their suspicions may be incorrect,” Const. Katrina Boaehmer, Media Relations Officer for the Sea to Sky RCMP, said.
“We want individuals to contact us so that we can determine whether any crimes have been committed.”
