The Salmon Arm RCMP is asking the public for help finding four young children and their 44-year-old father.
Police say Jeremy Beattie is in violation of an order that states he is not to have any contact with his children: Dominic Beattie, Laveena Beattie, Jonathan Beattie, and Alora Beattie.
“We do not believe there’s an immediate risk to the children; however, Mr. Beattie is now bound by a Family Law Act Protection Order, which has ordered him to return the children to their mother,” said BC RCMP spokesperson Corp. James Grandy.
Beattie may be driving a purple 2007 Chevrolet Uplander with B.C. licence plate SM045K. He is described as 5’9″ and 186 pounds with brown hair and grey eyes.
Police say he possesses firearms and “typically lives away from large centres in an ‘off-grid’ lifestyle.”
Anyone who sees Beattie is asked not to approach him but to contact the Salmon Arm RCMP immediately at 250-823-6044 or 911.
