RCMP searching for Surrey groping suspect

The Surrey RCMP is searching for a suspect after a woman woke up to a man she didn’t know groping her inside her home.

Mounties say the incident happened around 3:15 a.m. Saturday morning at a home in the Bear Creek area on 91st Avenue near 140 Street.

“The victim reported that she was woken up by a man groping her in her residence,” said Corp. Sarbjit Sangha in a release Saturday.

“The victim screamed for help and the suspect fled.”

The suspect is described as a man in his early 20s, between 5’7” and 5’10” tall, of average build, and with a long black beard.

Police are looking for anyone who has information regarding the suspect to call 604-599-0502 and quote file number 2024-106141.
