Mounties are on the scene of a serious assault in the Surrey Central neighbourhood, they confirmed Friday afternoon.
Police say someone called 911 around 1 p.m. to report the incident.
“The extent of how the person was assaulted has not been determined yet, because our frontline units are still responding,” the Surrey RCMP told CityNews.
“So if there is a knife involved or stabbing, I don’t have that information at this time.”
Callers to CityNews report seeing several emergency crews in the area of the nearby SkyTrain station.
