Prime Minister makes surprise stop at Vancouver Pride Parade

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made an unscheduled stop at Vancouver’s Pride festivities Sunday as he looks to regain some support from the community.

Trudeau posted on social media that Vancouver Pride is “where it all started,” saying he kicked off his 2015 campaign at the annual event nine years ago.

He didn’t walk in the parade but did walk for a block in the area before the event started, shaking hands and taking selfies with people.

Trudeau wore a black T-shirt with an image of a rainbow-coloured feather on the front, grey pants, and black running shoes.

Thousands attend Vancouver’s annual Pride Parade, which includes vibrant floats, numerous groups and organizations, and joyous people.
