Police are asking the public for help identifying a suspect and vehicle involved in a “suspicious incident” involving a child in Summerland.
In a release Wednesday, Summerland RCMP says they received a call at 3:30 p.m. about a “suspicious man” who asked a young girl to leave with him after approaching her at Dale Meadows Park.
“The child declined and the suspect left as the child’s mother approached,” Mounties said.
They say the “possibly” 60-year-old man had a large dog with him and left in a newer red hatchback vehicle.
