A pedestrian has been rushed to hospital after being struck by a vehicle in New Westminster Wednesday afternoon.
BC Emergency Health Services (EHS) told 1130 NewsRadio that just after 5:15 p.m. it received a phone call about a motor vehicle incident involving a pedestrian near McBride Blvd and 8 Ave.
“Two ambulances responded and transported one patient to hospital in serious condition,” said Joshua Grant, media relations with EHS.
In a post to social media, the New Westminster Police Department said “Traffic is shut down on McBride from 8th Avenue to 10th Avenue” because of a collision.
