Police say, they found a female who appeared to have “serious and life-threatening injuries” but died at the scene.

AbbyPD is still trying to identify the woman.

A witness tells CityNews the woman was a pedestrian who was struck by “multiple vehicles along the highway in the northbound lanes.”

There were temporary road closures in place to give investigators of the RCMP’s Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Services (ICARS) time to gather information.

The investigation is in its early stages.

Investigators are asking anyone who was at the scene with information or dash-cam footage between 10 p.m. and midnight to reach out.
