An Okanagan town is again struggling to staff its emergency room department for the third time in a week.
The ER at South Okanagan General Hospital in Oliver has been closed since 1 p.m. Friday and will be until noon Saturday.
Interior Health says it’s due to a lack of physicians.
The hospital ER has been plagued by temporary shut-downs, with several happening in the last month alone.
South Okanagan General has had three ER closures in a span of seven days.
Interior Health says people needing urgent medical attention should call 911.
The closest open ER is in Penticton, 40 kilometres from Oliver.
