Police in New Westminster are searching for a break-in suspect, after someone is believed to have climbed the exterior of a townhouse to get inside.
Officers were called to the townhouse in the area of Edinburgh Street and 20th Street around 10 p.m. on May 5, after residents had returned home and reported hearing someone inside a second-storey bedroom.
Police say they searched every room of the home, but didn’t find anyone inside. It’s believed the suspect, for whom there is no description, had left before officers arrived.
The New Westminster Police Department is looking for CCTV and dashcam footage from around the area between 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., with the hopes of identifying a suspect.
