Police say a motorcyclist is dead after a single-vehicle crash in North Vancouver Saturday evening.
The motorcyclist crashed into a concrete retaining wall on Low Level Road near St. Patrick’s Avenue and died on the scene, Corp. Ian Sim told CityNews.
“We have a number of witnesses who witnessed the young driver of this motorcycle passing them at a high rate of speed, going eastbound, lose control of the bike, the motorcycle, and he hit the retaining wall on the right hand side, the south side, which is made of cement on the bottom and steel on the top,” he said.
“And they say it appeared that he lost control, was unable to regain control of the bike, and hit the the retaining wall at a high rate of speed.”
Sim says next of kin have been notified.
