Man seriously injured after being hit by train in Surrey Friday, RCMP says

The Surrey RCMP says a man recovering but has received live-altering injuries after being hit by a train Friday afternoon.

Police say it happened around 1:30 p.m. on Colebrook Road near 176th Street.

“Frontline resources attended, with BC Ambulance, and located a male with injuries to his lower extremities,” Sgt. De Hart said.

“The male is currently stable with life-altering injuries.”

Alcohol and narcotics are believed to be involved.
