A man has been rushed to hospital after a home invasion that led to him being attacked by more than one suspect Sunday, the Burnaby RCMP says.
Officers were called to the home just before 3 a.m. after receiving a report of an assault with a weapon in the area of Boundary Road and Burke Street.
“Multiple suspects entered the home and assaulted one of the occupants,” Corp. Mike Kalanj told 1130 NewsRadio.
“One male victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.”
Police say the suspects fled when officers arrived.
“This incident is believed to be targeted,” Kalanj said.
The investigation is ongoing.
