A man is dead after a single-vehicle crash in New Westminster early Saturday morning, the NWPD says.
Police say the incident happened at the intersection of East Columbia and Brunette.
Callers to CityNews at the time reported seeing that a car had hit a power pole, but this has not been confirmed by officials.
Paramedics took two people to hospital, and the driver has since died from his injuries.
“Officers secured the scene and began collecting evidence,” said Sgt. Andrew Leaver.
The NWPD says all contributing factors are still being investigated and have not confirmed whether or not alcohol or drugs were contributing factors.
