The longest-ever serving president and CEO of the Surrey Board of Trade (SBoT) is stepping down at the end of next month.
Anita Huberman shared the news on Thursday, saying that her last day with the organization is Aug. 30.
“It has been an honour and a privilege to be part of this esteemed city-building organization. I am incredibly proud of the leadership-oriented work my staff and I have accomplished over the past three decades to support and advocate for the business community,” Huberman said.
After 18 years at the helm, Huberman says she’s leaving the organization to “explore new opportunities in the next chapter of her career.”
The SBoT says its board members and members of the South Surrey and White Rock Chamber of Commerce will be on the search for its new president and CEO.
