Large police presence spotted in Hinge Park near Olympic Village

A large police presence was seen in Hinge Park near Olympic Village Sunday morning, with several Vancouver Police Department (VPD) officers on the scene and parts of the area sectioned off with police tape.
Several people have posted on social media saying they heard a loud bang in the area. It’s unclear at this time exactly what the sound was, or why police were gathered in the park.
