Langley motorcycle crash sends one to hospital

Police say one person was taken to the hospital after a collision involving a motorcycle in Langley Tuesday.

The Langley RCMP says a motorcycle and a dump truck crashed around 2 p.m. in the area of 232 St. and Fraser Highway.

The motorcycle rider was injured and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

“The motorcycle was underneath the truck, but the motorcycle rider was alright,” said Cpl. Zynal Sharoom.

Sharoom told 1130 NewsRadio that the cause of the accident was not related to alcohol or speed, but rather “bad luck” and confusion about traffic rules.

The officer is reminding drivers to be aware of their speed and watch for construction zones. He says motorcycle riders should be “extra vigilant” when they are driving as they cannot be seen sometimes, especially during difficult driving weather.
