Langley bank robbery suspect charged, held in custody

A Langley man is facing charges after allegedly robbing a bank on Thursday afternoon.

According to the Langley RCMP, the incident happened on July 4, when around 3:30 p.m., Mounties received reports of the robbery at a bank on 200 Street near the Langley Bypass.

Police say the man had “pushed past the tellers” and stole money from the counters. Police say the suspect then ran away.

With the help of surveillance footage, officers were able to get a clear description of the suspect, who was later found at a nearby mall.

Tyler Jacob Goodine, 26, has since been charged with robbery and obstructing a peace officer. He has been held in custody while he awaits his next court appearance, slated for July 10.
