Umbrellas? Absolutely not. Snacks? Nope. Friendship bracelets? Yes!
As hundreds of thousands of fans will head to BC Place beginning Friday for Taylor Swift’s final three Eras Tours concerts, it’s time to brush up on what you can and cannot bring into the stadium.
The stadium, which can seat over 54,000 ticket holders, has some pretty stringent rules in place to ensure everyone has a safe, and enjoyable time.
BC Place explains that it encourages ticket holders not to bring bags to the stadium, however, if you must, you’re allowed to bring in one that meets the following specifications:
- Clutch purse or belt bag no larger than 4.5” x 6.5”
- Clear plastic bag no larger than 12” x 12” x 6”
- Clear bags may have a printed logo no larger than 3.5” x 4.5” on only one side of the bag
Parents or caregivers bringing in diaper bags or “medically necessary items” that don’t fit into a clear bag are exempt from the rules, the stadium explains.
“All bags are subject to search. Gifts for the artist will not be accepted or collected,” it adds.
Now, if you’re planning on exchanging friendship bracelets, make sure you follow these rules: “All friendship bracelets must be worn into the stadium or carried in a bag which abides by the above bag policy. Carabiners (metal or plastic) holding bracelets are strictly prohibited.”
If you can’t fit them on your wrist or in a clear bag — you can’t bring them.
Other prohibited items include umbrellas; strollers; animals, aside for certified service animals; bicycles, scooters, skateboards and the like; glass containers, hard plastic, or metal of any kind; horns, radios, bells or anything that makes noise; and a whole lot more.
