New Westminster police were forced to close a section of Eighth Street as they responded to the scene of a vehicle rollover Tuesday afternoon.
In a post to social media, the New Westminster Police Department said, due to a rollover, both northbound lanes between 8th Avenue and 10th Avenue were closed.
As of 4:50 p.m., Tuesday, TransLink told CityNews the vehicle has been towed away and the lanes have reopened.
A photo attached to the post showed a grey sedan rolled on its side with a shattered windshield.
Congestion in the area is still expected.
