A fire broke out at the Delta residence of former B.C. Premier Bill Vander Zalm Thursday afternoon.
Reports of flame and smoke coming from the rural estate on Arthur Drive first began shortly after 3 p.m.
Images posted to social media show white smoke pouring from the roof and chimney, and emergency crews responding to the scene.
1130 NewsRadio has reached out to Delta Fire and Emergency Services for more information.
The residence on Arthur Drive in Ladner was confirmed to be the home of Vander Zalm as recently as 2020. Vander Zalm served as the 28th premier of B.C. from 1986 until 1991.
This is a developing story. More to come.
