A police situation in Port Coquitlam appears to be ongoing Thursday, days after officers were called to a home along Burns Road.
The Coquitlam RCMP was called to the area between Prairie and Dominion avenues on Tuesday. Police have provided few details about what’s happening, only telling CityNews on Tuesday that officers were at a home in the area.
Burns Road reopened later that day, around 2:15 p.m., but police were still on scene as of Thursday.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) confirms it is aware of the situation but tells CityNews it has not been deployed.
The Coquitlam RCMP is remaining tight-lipped about the situation, only saying it will provide more information at a later time.
