Easy Eats Pandemanila bread rolls recalled due to undeclared ingredient: CFIA

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) says Boulangerie La Parisienne Ltd. is recalling a brand of bread rolls in British Columbia because it contains egg, which is not declared on the label.

It says the Easy Eats Pandemanila Kalihim (Philippine Bread Rolls) recall was triggered by a consumer complaint.

“There has been one reported reaction associated with the consumption of these products,” CFIA says.

The bread rolls that are recalled include the one with Red Custard and Ube Custard.

The agency is investigating the safety of this product. It says this may lead to the recall of other products too.

“The CFIA is verifying that industry is removing recalled products from the marketplace,” it said.

It says when a product is being recalled the public must not consume it if they are allergic or sensitive as it may cause a “serious of life-threatening reaction.”

CFIA also says recalled products must not be served, used, sold or distributed, and should be thrown out or returned to where it was purchased.
