Vancouver police are investigating after an apparent drive-by shooting involving a BB gun in Kitsilano Tuesday evening.
Police say a driver was injured and needed medical attention after the driver-side window of his car-share car was hit by a “projectile” from another vehicle near West 4th Avenue and Balaclava Street around 7 p.m.
“The injured driver received medical attention at the scene and was taken home by family members,” the Vancouver Police Department (VPD) said.
The suspect who fired the projectile drove away and has not been identified.
The VPD says it suspects that the projectile came from a BB gun and has begun a criminal investigation.
Officers are reportedly searching the neighbourhood, seeking witnesses and video footage.
