While the Stones may be rolling in downtown Vancouver, the SkyTrain is not.
A portion of the Canada Line SkyTrain route downtown closed Friday evening due to a mechanical issue near Yaletown-Roundhouse Station.
TransLink says a “Bus Bridge” is assisting usual service between Broadway City Hall and Waterfront stations, and a shuttle train is in effect between Waterfront and Olympic Village stations.
To continue on the line, TransLink says you must transfer trains at Olympic Village Station.
The transit provider has not announced a timeline for when the issues will be resolved.
Increased congestion is expected downtown as the Rolling Stones take the stage at BC Place Friday night.
