A road in Surrey has been closed off for several hours Friday due to a damaged gas line at a residence, FortisBC has confirmed.
64th Avenue between 138th and 140th Streets are closed as crews investigate.
“There is one customer without gas service while our crews work to bring gas under control,” FortisBC told 1130 NewsRadio.
“It’s the result of third external party damage.”
The company says it was initially called about the issue just after 11 a.m.
Meanwhile, police aren’t able to estimate when the road will reopen.
