A child was taken to hospital Thursday after being hit by a car in Surrey, the RCMP tells 1130 NewsRadio.
Police say they were called to 160th Street near 27th Avenue just before 4 p.m.
“A 10-year-old ran across the street and was struck by a vehicle,” the RCMP said.
“She was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.”
Mounties say the driver remained on scene and cooperated with police, and speed was not a factor.
“The child was not using a marked crosswalk,” they said.
The investigation is ongoing.
