Canada’s Josh Liendo, Ilya Kharun win silver, bronze in 100-m butterfly

Canada has won two medals in the Olympic 100-metre butterfly.

Josh Liendo won silver and Ilya Kharun took bronze on Saturday.

Canada now has 14 medals at Paris 2024.

Liendo, who won silver in this event at last year’s world championships, had the third-best time in the semifinals while Kharun was sixth.

Liendo just missed a medal on Friday, finishing fourth in the 50-metre freestyle.

Kharun took bronze in the 200-metre butterfly earlier in the meet.
