Police in northern B.C. are asking for the public’s help finding a 7-year-old child who went missing Thursday evening.
The Burns Lake RCMP says Oaklynn Schwedder was last seen outside a home in Southbank — nearly 30 kilometres south of Burns Lake — around 6 p.m. on Sept. 19.
She was reportedly wearing a red and blue plaid dress, leggings with white bowties, and pink socks.
Police say she is on the autism spectrum and is non-verbal.
Mounties say a search is underway, and anyone with information on the whereabouts of Oaklynn is urged to contact their local police, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
