A youth has been arrested following reports of what appeared to be a man armed with a gun at the University of British Columbia (UBC) Monday.
In an announcement Monday, the university says it happened in their AMS Nest building.
According to UBC, police confirmed that the item that appeared to be a weapon was a water gun.
“The building is safe and all normal operations have resumed with no threat to the university,” it said.
