The Abbotsford Police Department says its Major Crime Unit is investigating the suspicious death of a 63-year-old man.
The man was taken to hospital April 9 after being “observed to seemingly be in medical distress” in the area of Sunnyside Street and Old Yale Road.
The man is not being identified.
“As this investigation is in its early stages and the potential of further witnesses coming forward, the Abbotsford Police Department will not be making any additional comment about the facts of this case at this time,” AbbyPD said in a news release.
Police are asking any witnesses or anyone with any information or CCTV footage from the area between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to email Detective Daryl Young at daryl.young@abbypd.ca.
