The Abbotsford Police Department’s (AbbyPD) major crime unit is investigating reports of gunshots fired early Monday morning.
In a release Wednesday, police said they responded to reports of gunshots heard in the Clearbrook area around 2 a.m. When officers arrived, they found no evidence of a shooting at the time.
Later that day, police say they discovered that shots were fired into a basement suite of a home on Sugarpine Street.
They believe the shooting was targeted, but no injuries were reported.
AbbyPD says it is now seeking witnesses and collecting CCTV recordings.
