Abbotsford police are looking for witnesses after a cyclist was hit by a vehicle Monday afternoon.
The crash happened at the intersection of Garden Street and Simon Avenue around 3:30 p.m.
The intersection, as well as the intersection at Simon Avenue and Allwood Street, has been closed in all directions following the crash.
Police say the 26-year-old victim was transported to hospital, having sustained “serious injuries.”
The Abbotsford Police Department says the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.
“Initial findings show impairment as not being a contributing factor in the crash,” said a statement by Const. Art Stele.
