2 injured after Maserati hit and run in Surrey

Two people are injured after a hit and run involving a Maserati in Surrey Saturday night.

The Surrey Police Service (SPS) says it responded with fire crews to a report of a collision in the area of 75th Avenue and 124th Street just after 10 p.m.

“Surrey Fire Service personnel arrived on scene first and provided life-saving care to a seriously injured male pedestrian,” police said.

“It is believed that this man was standing between parked vehicles which were struck by a Maserati travelling eastbound on 75 Avenue.”

A second person was also injured.

“Very serious hit and run collision that resulted in the injury of two pedestrians,” SPS media liaison Ian Macdonald tells 1130 NewsRadio.

“One of those two was critically injured, the other one was transported to hospital, is receiving treatment, but we don’t believe those injuries are life threatening.”

The Maserati left the scene of the crash immediately, the SPS says.

Anyone with information or video footage is asked to call the SPS at 604-599-0502 and quote file number 2025-1078 (SP) or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 to remain anonymous.
