Vancouver residents and business owners are invited to share their priorities for 2024 Budget

The City is asking those who live or who own/operate a business in Vancouver for input on priorities for the 2024 Budget, as part of its annual budget engagement process.

The 2024 – 2028 Budget Outlook PDF file (482 KB) outlines the main factors influencing the City’s financial outlook, including measures on how to balance the budget while maintaining existing service levels. The report includes recommendations for additional revenue streams to ease the proposed property tax increase. 

Feedback will be summarized in a public report that will be presented to City Council in December, along with recommendations from the Mayor’s Budget Task Force. Council will vote on the final 2024 Budget in December 2023.  

Ways to get involved

• Visit shapeyourcity.ca/budget to learn more and complete the survey by September 17. The survey is available in English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese and Punjabi.
• Register to speak when City Council reviews the budget in December. Registration details will be provided closer to the meeting date. 
• Contact Mayor and Council directly to provide feedback on the draft budget.
