Skip the trip to City Hall and pay online

June 30 2022 –

Residential and non-residential property owners are reminded that 2022 property taxes are due for payment by Tuesday, July 5.

The quickest way to pay, which avoids line-ups and delays, is through online banking. If you are not already set up for online payments, learn how to pay online.

Ways to pay

  • Through online banking
  • In-person at a bank or ATM, or by phone
  • Drop off a cheque before 11:59pm on July 5 at City Hall’s secure 24/7 mail slot, located at the south doors off West 12th Ave
  • In-person at City Hall during business hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm)

If help is required:

  • Phone 3-1-1 (or 604-873-7000 if outside Vancouver)
  • Chat online with an advisor

A penalty will apply to payments received after the July 5 due date.

Bank payment cut-off time and late payment penalties

If making an online, in-person, or phone payment through a bank, check your bank’s transaction cut-off time. Transactions made after the cut-off time are posted the next business day. For example, a payment made after the bank transaction cut-off time on July 5 would be posted July 6, and a late payment penalty would apply.
