The Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce the official launch of alcohol sales at Queen Elizabeth Pitch and Putt and Stanley Park Pitch and Putt. Guests can now purchase a variety of beverage options to enjoy on the new patios and throughout the courses.

“Pitch and putt golf is a popular summer activity at Stanley Park and Queen Elizabeth Park, and we are excited to elevate the experience for guests at our courses through this initiative,” said Brennan Bastyovanszky, Chair of the Vancouver Park Board. “These iconic parks are perfect settings for this venture, providing yet another reason for residents and tourists to enjoy these beautiful spaces.”

The new offerings include a variety of alcoholic beverages, such as locally produced wine and non-alcoholic cocktails and beer from our partners Stanley Park Brewing and Steamworks Brewing.

“We are continually looking for innovative ways to enhance the amenities in our parks and provide exceptional experiences for park visitors,” said Steve Jackson, General Manager of the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation. “The introduction of alcohol service at these pitch and putt locations is a direct response to customer feedback, allowing us to provide a more enjoyable experience for our guests.”

Alcohol service will be available daily from 11 am to 8:30 pm, with service concluding 30 minutes before course closure. To support a safe and enjoyable experience, please be mindful of the following guidance:

  • No outside alcohol is permitted
  • All alcoholic beverages must be consumed on site and within the boundaries of the golf courses
  • Respect the personal space of other golfers and keep noise to an appropriate volume
  • Properly dispose of trash in a nearby waste bin

This new venture aligns with the Park Board’s broader goals under the Think Big Revenue Strategy to increase commercial revenues and enhance vibrancy of public spaces.

“This is a fantastic way to support local businesses while bringing in revenue to support Vancouver Parks and Recreation services,” added Bastyovanszky. “It aligns perfectly with our Think Big Revenue Strategy, aimed at increasing commercial revenues and bringing more vibrancy to public spaces.”
