Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation, in partnership with Vancouver Civic Theatres, is pleased to announce the launch of the VanEats app, a new mobile ordering app for concessions and theatres throughout Vancouver.
Available for download on Apple External website, opens in new tab and Android External website, opens in new tab devices, VanEats streamlines ordering and reduces wait times for residents and visitors wanting to enjoy Vancouver’s cultural and natural scenes. VanEats allows customers to pre-order and pre-pay for items, providing the flexibility to plan ahead, even up to several days in advance. With VanEats, customers can easily access menus, customize orders, and conveniently save their favourite items for future orders.
VanEats is currently available at eight Park Board concession stands:
- Second Beach
- Third Beach
- Lumberman’s Arch
- Sunset Beach
- Kitsilano Pool
- Jericho Beach
- Locarno Beach
- Spanish Banks East
“We invite customers to experience quick and easy mobile ordering through the VanEats app,” said Mark Halyk, Food and Beverage Operations Manager at the Park Board. “We are excited to offer diverse concession menus that reflect our ongoing commitment to prioritizing sustainable and affordable options while supporting local suppliers. There is something for everyone, from nostalgic favourites like fish and chips, to modern options like West Coast salmon fillet burgers, plant-based gelato or nitro-infused cold brew.”
VanEats is also available at four Vancouver Civic Theatres, offering a choice of BC wine and local beer options, along with a growing selection of theatre snacks:
- Queen Elizabeth Theatre
- Vancouver Playhouse
- Orpheum
- Annex
“The VanEats app reflects our commitment to elevating the patron experience in our venues,” said Natalie Lue, Director of Vancouver Civic Theatres. “By providing this ‘skip the concessions line’ option before the show and during intermission, VanEats offers our audience members the opportunity to enjoy their refreshments while exploring all that our venues have to offer before taking their seats for the show!”
VanEats is the fourth app added to the City of Vancouver’s suite of mobile tools, joining VanCollect, Van311 and VanGolf. A web version for online ordering will be available in the coming weeks.
