City Council met this week to hear and discuss a variety of topics during Council, and Standing Committee on City Finance and Services.

Tuesday, July 23

This week’s Council began with the councillors presenting the Emancipation Day proclamation. Council then approved the following items on consent:

Council also approved By-laws 1-12 (3.2 MB) and By-law 13 (49 KB).

Wednesday, July 24

The Standing Committee on City Finance and Services began with the councillors presenting the proclamation of the 80th Anniversary of the Sister-City Relationship Between Vancouver and Odesa, Ukraine. The Standing Committee then approved the following items on consent:

After that, the Standing Committee received a staff presentation, 2024 Annual Directors’ Update on Transportation, Public Space and Street Use (24 MB), and then approved the following reports and member’s motions: 

A Council meeting was convened immediately following the Standing Committee meeting, during which Council approved the recommendations and actions of the preceding Standing Committee on City Finance and Services.
