September 20 2023 –
VanDusen Botanical Garden warmly welcomes the return of Harvest Days, an affordable family-friendly event that celebrates the fall season.
Starting October 7, throughout weekends in October, the VanDusen vegetable garden and maze area will be transformed with autumn décor, crafts and activities, delicious food vendors, and lively music performances suitable for all ages.
Seeking the perfect fall backdrop for memorable family photos? The picturesque garden, adorned with scarecrows, hay bales, cornstalks, and pumpkins, offers the ideal autumn setting.
Children are invited to enjoy a fall-inspired craft section and meander through the ever-popular hedge maze. Food trucks, including Popcorn in the Park, Coffee Bike, BistrotVan, and Melt City Grilled Cheese, will be on site selling refreshments and tasty snacks.
Daily bluegrass and old-time live music sessions will feature artists such as the Lonesome Town Painters, The Soda Crackers, and No Frills String Band. Three sessions will be held each day.
Visitors are encouraged to explore the expansive 55-acre botanical garden and experience the fall sights. Notable highlights include sugar maples, ginkgo trees, bald cypress, and the stunning Autumn Stroll, lined with deciduous trees selected for their brilliant array of colors.
