Events, decisions, and reports at City Council for the week of April 25, 2022

Vancouver City Council met electronically this week to hear and discuss a variety of topics during Council and Standing Committee on City Finance and Services.

Tuesday, April 26

This week’s Council began with an acknowledgement of Day of Mourning, which is on April 28, 2022, and the approval of 2021 Property Tax Exemptions (196 KB) on consent.

Unfinished Business Item, CD-1 Rezoning: 1477 West Broadway was approved by Council (29 KB) was approved by Council.

Council then approved the following reports:

Council also approved By-laws 1 to 10 (8.7 MB) and Council Members’ Motion – Requests for Leaves of Absence (87 KB).

The following motions were referred to the Standing Committee on City Finance and Services on Wednesday, April 27:

Council approved an item of New Business items, Signing the COP26 Zero Emissions Vehicle Declaration.

A Council meeting was convened immediately following the Standing Committee meeting, approving the recommendations and actions of the preceding Standing Committee on City Finance and Services.

The next regular meeting of Council is scheduled for Tuesday, May 17, at 9:30am.
