We are partnering with S.U.C.C.E.S.S. External website, opens in new tab and Tikva External website, opens in new tab to provide 138 new affordable homes at Dogwood Gardens, located at 603 West 59th Ave, as part of the Cambie Gardens development. The project was developed through our inclusionary housing policy, which requires developers to provide social housing to the City through large redevelopment projects. S.U.C.C.E.S.S. and Tikva will co-manage the housing. The development will also include an amenity space, children’s play area, parking, and storage.
To meet the needs of our growing population and ensure our city remains vibrant and diverse, it’s important that there is an affordable and varied supply of housing. Dogwood Gardens is one of the many projects we have fast-tracked to reduce Vancouver’s housing affordability gap and to provide a strong foundation for the future of Vancouver.
We are committed to delivering quality affordable housing and developing collaborative relationships with community partners who manage them. The Dogwood Gardens project is evidence of delivering on these promises and delivering much-needed housing spaces.

- Of the 138 new homes, there are:
- 34 studio units
- 35 one-bedroom units
- 41 two-bedroom units
- 28 three-bedroom units
- There will be a mix of rents, including:
- 14 shelter rate units
- 10 units are reserved for people in the province’s Supporting Tenants, Enabling Pathways (STEP) program which helps them transition out of supportive housing, making room for people who are experiencing homelessness or at-risk in those supported homes
- 55 units will be rented at rates affordable to people who earn up to BC Housing’s Housing Income Limits PDF file (112 KB) (HILs)
- 69 units will rent at lower-end-of-market with rents roughly 10% below market rate
- It is the first of four affordable housing buildings being developed at Cambie Gardens which will ultimately provide 540 new affordable homes.
